I race on Salomon XT Wings and have been thinking about swapping to the SLAB for a while. Having said that, when we raced the Jungle, Mike Wolfe and Tracy Garneau were trialling the new North Face Single Track shoe. It looked more like a trainer but they did well and rated them. Here's Tophur Gaylord talking about them. The main reason I chose this video, was the great scenes of the UTMB. It really is like that (when it's sunny/clear of course).
